Towing Requirements:
Hitch, Wiring and Brake Control
For Travel Trailers: All
Travel Trailers require a 2 5/16” ball for towing. Your hitch must be in
working condition. We will not allow you to tow our camper if your hitch
is rusted to a weaken state. You must have the travel trailer wiring as
pictured below (right). Please check to make sure your harness is
working before your trip. All travel trailers have electric brakes to
help stop the camper. We strongly suggest a brake control as picture
below (left). We do not do wiring for insurance purposes. Our friends
at Apple Valley Camping 920-757-0676 can install hitches, wiring, and
brake controls. Mention you are renting from us for a discount. They do
require an appointment. We do rent weight distribution hitches for $35.
A weight distribution hitch (below center) will pick up the back of your
vehicle if the trailer weight causes it to sag.
